In the wake of the pandemic, we found ourselves restructuring our daily activities as well as picking up newfound hobbies throughout the changes in our environment.
Our homes became the grounds for pretty much everything: schooling, officing, and working out.
Working out from home, just like everything else, required some adjustment for those who were accustomed to going to a gym for their fitness tasks.
Some people invested in workout equipment to do their best to replicate their favorite sections at their gyms. But for those who are on a tighter budget, space, and/or resources, did you know that there are a lot of effective workouts that do not require any equipment to be effectively done and you can even use the things that you already have at home to enhance your home workouts? Below we’ve listed our at-home, go-to workout using your body and your environment.
Checkout some of our favorite home exercises that you should certainly give a try because they are easy, cost-efficient, and body-effective if practiced regularly!
1. Incline push-ups: 15 reps
Feet on floor and hands on the edge of desk or bed.
2. Push-ups: 20 reps
Traditional form – and the exercise doesn’t require a lot of room!
3. Burpees: 20 reps
This exercise doesn’t need much space, just the ability to stick it out when you’re starting to get tired.
4. Inverted rows: 10 in each arm
Try using full water or milk jugs for this exercise.
5. Planks: 5 reps - 30 secs each
Perfect exercise while watching your favorite TV shows.
6. Dips: 10 reps
You can use your bar stools or chair for this.
You can do it!
Try repeating this entire routine 2-3 times with a 3 min rest between rounds if you really want to work up a sweat!
